AI-powered photo and video experience used by Google Cloud across the AI Nordics Tour.
Overview
The AI Videobooth is an interactive event product that lets attendees take a photo, enhance it with state-of-the-art AI, instantly print it, and receive an AI-generated video souvenir. I designed and developed the entire system from scratch for a startup I’ve worked with for the past year. Its first real-world deployment was at Google Cloud’s AI Nordics Tour, a four-country corporate series in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland, where over a thousand attendees used it to create personalised, AI-generated memories.
The Concept
Take photo → AI enhancement → Print → AI video → Download
Attendees walk away with both a physical printout and a downloadable AI-generated video, all within minutes. The combination of instant printing and cutting-edge AI models created a memorable and highly engaging experience for corporate visitors.
How It Works
I built a scalable, multi-step AI pipeline:
- 01 Booth interface built in Vue.js and Electron
- 02 Photo capture and upload via Firebase
- 03 Image enhancement through a custom workflow on Modal.com
- 04 Video generation using Veo3 for fast delivery
- 05 Image analytics and sentiment analysis via Google Gemini
- 06 Backend automation with Firebase Functions and Google Cloud services

The booth remained stable throughout, and attendee feedback was consistently positive, many describing it as one of the most memorable parts of the tour.
Challenges
Building an event-ready AI product required rapid iteration, strict deadlines, and stable performance under corporate expectations. Balancing AI processing time, concurrency, offline usage, and hardware constraints was demanding but ultimately rewarding. Delivering a polished, production-ready booth for a client like Google Cloud was a milestone experience in combining creative technology with real-world deployments.
